September Safety Snippet

Dear Team members,

As our kids gear up for another exciting school year, let’s take a moment to ensure their safety is our top priority. Here are some important tips to help keep our children safe as they return to school:

  1. Road Safety: Remind your kids to always use crosswalks and obey traffic signals. If they ride bikes, ensure they wear helmets and follow the rules of the road.
  2. School Bus Safety: If your child rides the bus, teach them to wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before approaching, and to always cross in front of the bus where the driver can see them.
  3. Stranger Danger: It’s important to talk to our kids about strangers and to remind them never to go anywhere with someone they don’t know, even if that person claims to know their parents.
  4. Emergency Contacts: Make sure your child knows how to reach you in an emergency and that they have important phone numbers memorized or safely stored in their backpack.
  5. Healthy Habits: Encourage regular hand washing, especially before eating and after using the restroom, to keep germs at bay.
  6. Digital Safety: If your kids use devices for school, remind them about the importance of not sharing personal information online and to report any uncomfortable interactions to a trusted adult.
  7. Mental Well-being: Keep the lines of communication open with your kids. Ask them about their day and listen to any concerns they might have, whether they’re related to schoolwork, friendships, or anything else.

As we balance work and family life, let’s keep these tips in mind and share them with our children to ensure they have a safe and successful school year ahead.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe return to school!
